Episode 75: Self Care is Not Selfish with Dr. Sonal Haerter

This week’s episode features Dr. Sonal Haerter, an internal medicine physician with a special interest in wellness. She is in the process of completing her culinary medicine fellowship. She discusses the importance is self care especially amongst women. 

From Sonal: I have been actively involved in ‘Wellness in medicine , wellness as a woman in medicine ‘ for almost a decade. I am part of wellness committees at my hospital and presented grand rounds. It’s my mission to help my physician colleagues from burning out and giving up what they sacrificed so much for. In my practice as an internist I focus specifically on mental , physical and spiritual health! I do talk about impact of eating healthy and thinking healthy. Wellness is not one dimensional. It’s multidimensional, it needs to me nurtured. Resilience is a muscle that develops as a result of mindful nurturing of mind , body and soul!

Episode 62: Individual & Corporate Wellness with Dr. Bergina Isbell

Meet Dr. Bergina Isbell, a board certified psychiatrist who shares her thoughts on individual and corporate mental wellness. Dr. Isbell recounts taking a “radical sabbatical” to learn how to better take care of herself and her patients. She now practices 90 minutes of self-care daily. She created her own business from the ground up via reverse engineering and now she helps other practices and corporations in the field of wellness. Her advice to others is to reverse engineer everything!

She is the founder of Led Life, LLC, a mental health consulting practice where she provides corporate wellness and individual psychiatric services. She provides mental health coaching through Growing in Grace Life Coaching, LLC. When not using the world as a classroom for her two homeschooled children, she enjoys Bible journaling, ballroom dancing with her husband, and doing burpees.
